  • ELEC473 Power electr... onics: The aim of this course is to introduce switched-mode dc-dc converters. The first part of the course treats basic circuit operation, including steady-state converter modeling and analysis, switch realization, discontinuous conduction mode, and transformer-isolated converters. Next, converter control systems are covered, including ac modeling of converters using averaged methods, small-signal transfer functions, and classical feedback loop design.
  • ELEC474 Renewable Energy: The aim of the course is to introduce the main available renewable energy source and give a wide idea about the characteristics, specifications, operation and constraint of these sources. It will cover the principle of renewable energy, solar radiation, solar water heating, photovoltaic generation, wind turbines, hydro power generation and geothermal energy.
